Oppostion talk: @bha_footy shares his thoughts on facing United

Manchester United Travel to the Amex stadium for their second PL fixture against Brighton. United already gained some momentum against Luton Town FC but Brighton may prove to be quite a challenge. @bha_footy explains to us in an interactive session.

1.What are your thoughts going into this game?

I feel like it will be an exciting game but it’s always hard for us coming up against a big side like Man Utd but I’m slightly optimistic.

Eric Bailly may start the game

2. Do you think Brighton could possibly stun Manchester United considering their current form?

I definitely think we’re up for an upset. We’ve started the season really strong and we’ve played one extra game than you guys – also with you coming off a loss and us off a win, I wouldn’t underestimate us.

3. How will injuries impact the current squad considering even Yves Bissouma is out?

We don’t have too many long term injuries and Lallana should be fine, which is good as he provides a creativity we’ve been lacking. I think Bissouma’s suspension is a big loss for us as he is a skilful and tricky midfielder to play against but we have the squad depth to manage.

The error prone pair of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof have proved to be problematic

4. Where can Brighton finish this season in the Premier League?

If we can perform consistently I don’t see why we can’t finish mid table, I’m thinking 13th.

5. Brighton have won 3 out of 4 of their home games against United. Is another one incoming?

It’s quite a good record we have against you at home! I was actually at the games we won! I feel it’s all about mentality but Utd are looking for a first win of the season so i think it will be hard.

6. We face Brighton at Home again in the EFL cup in a span of few days,do you think that could impact the players outlook towards the game?

I don’t think the cup game will affect this too much, we have fielded two completely different XIs for our two cup games and you should watch out for Jahanbakhsh when we face Utd in the Cup.

7. What are your score predictions?

I think we’ll see a 2-1 Utd win with a strong performance from Brighton, but we lack the clinical edge to take any points

8. Which players should we be looking out for from both the sides?

Lamptey is on phenomenal form on attack and defence and Lewis Dunk is a formidable defender. Man Utd have a world class squad and I think Fernandes and Pogba (I’m a big fan of Pogba and I rate him very highly) are two of the best midfielders in the league and world.

It will be interesting to see United approach the fixture after their bittersweet perfomances this season. United definitely need to reinforce their squad to make it competitive for the league and Champions League both. It will remain to be seen how United approaches the fixture.

Marquee player Paul Pogba is yet to display his world class form
